Parade of Homes

For the first time ever Rob and I went and checked out the Parade of Homes. What a disappointment!!  We knew that all the houses were going to be large because that seems to be what everyone has to buy nowadays. But we were floored by how much wasted space was in these houses. Out of the 11 homes there was only 2 that we thought were even worth looking at, and absolutely 0 that we would ever consider buying. Even if we won the lottery!!

It was funny to listen to some of the comments that people were making though. One older couple was discussing the bedrooms in one house and the wife said "These bedrooms are so small." I laughed and told her that I was thinking the exact opposite. She kind of looked at me funny until I told her that we were raising 5 kids in a mobile home to which she said, "Oh my, I am so sorry, I am so sorry!" She was apparently so sorry that she repeated herself 3 times. LOL!! It is so true that it is all in your perspective.

After we looked at all the houses we stopped at the new frozen yogurt store that just opened up the road from us, Tutti Frutti. It is a self serve type thing and once you are done serving they weigh your bowl for you to pay. The prices were actually pretty good and the yogurt was amazing!! Definitely will be going back there.

Gratitudes
1. That we have a wonderful small home.
2. That I found zucchini at the farmers market for an amazing price.
3. That I am having so much fun at this cake class.

Are you still interested in making a hay style home. All you need is property right??
Living totally off of the grid - no payments to hydro etc.
