December 16th 2010
Tonight was the kids school Christmas Concert, we had a great time and all the kids did a wonderful job. The twins class did 2 skits, "The Best Party Ever" and "No Room at The Inn". Emily's class sang Christmas carols. In the first skit Frank was the teacher and Jake was a fairy, we got him to redo his lines at home so we could film them because Rob couldn't get the camera working in time. Enjoy!!!

December 12th 2010
This week we had the church Christmas Banquet and silent auction. I donated cakes for the auction and they all did really well. Here are the ones I made, I also made a birthday cake for one of the ladies but don't have a picture of just that one.
2nd Week of December 2010
The kids went skating at school this week and had a great time. We also went to the Dreamcenter Christmas Party and had a great time. It was the same day as Shirley's work party so Rebekkah came with us and the people at the Dreamcenter were so wonderful that they made sure she got a gift also. Here are some of the pictures.
Buddy the Elf was there too but Emily and Rebekkah got one look at him and said there was no way they were getting a picture with him. They said that he was just too hyper.LOL!!
1st Week of December 2010
The beginning of December and there was already enough snow for Emily, Rebekkah and Daddy to build a snowman. We forgot to take a picture right away though. So here is the one we took after it started to melt.
This month the kids started going to school at Cornerstone Christian School. We decided that putting them back into regular classes was what was going to work best for our family right now, but we wanted them somewhere that would teah christain values.. At first we weren't sure so we decided that we would register them and apply for the busary and if they were meant to go there, then it would all work out. The day after we filled out the forms they called us in for the interview and the day after that they told us they were accepted and could start the following Monday. We qualified for the bursary we needed also. The twins are loving it and have joined the basketball team. Emily has been making lots of new friends and seems to be adapting well.
We also went to the Olde Time Fair at the Stampede Grounds. We had hot dogs and cocoa, looked at the different buildings in the Pioneer Village, went on hay rides and saw Santa. The kids all had a great time even though it was very cold.
Emily refused to sit on his knee, but at least I managed to convince her to sit beside him.

November 2010
Here is David trying on Maria's wig.
In the beginning of November we put up all the outside Christmas decorations. Good thing we did it early because it got cold early too, and for awhile it was really cold. During the month Tracey, Riley and Matthew came out to visit a few times and I managed to get the pictures framed and up on the wall finally.

October 2010
In October the kids had a trip to Medalta Potteries. We had a tour and then they played with the clay and made a few things. The twins had a halloween party at youth group and Jake dressed up a princess. His theory was that girls got more candy than boys. I think he makes a very beautiful princess. LOL!!!
We also had our halloween party here at the house with lots of food and friends. We all had a good time.
Here is the beginning of the snake sandwich(ham bagels), you will see it winding through all the pictures. Also the eyeball dip with dried bat skin(cream cheese/salsa dip with blue corn tortilla chips).
Devilled Eyeballs(eggs)
Vampire Dip(veggie dip)
In the basket is Skeleton Bones with Blood and Guts(breadsticks with pizza sauce dip). The twins had a blast helping make the breadsticks too.
Graveyard dip in the back is just a seven layer dip with a tree and gravestones cut out of tortillas and then baked to harden. Bat wings in the front(chicken wings)
Spider Cupcakes
The bucket in the back is chocolate lollipops and chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick. The cauldron is Rotting Bone Fragments(candied popcorn). The coffin has Chocolate Covered Roaches(almonds), and the basket is Bloody Witch Fingers(shortbread cookies).

Frank
Emily finally decided to be a spider 5 minutes before everyone showed up. She had changed her costume 4 times before that.

September 2010
It has been a long time since I posted, so the next few posts will be just info on what has been happening over the last little while.
In September we went to Cassie's(our oldest god-daughter) birthday. Here is the cake I made for her. She loves shoes!!
We also went to the fall festival at Police Point Park. We did a few treasure hunts, some geocaching, leaf rubbings and we had a picnic. The kids and I had a lot of fun. The twins and Emily each won a bird stuffie. The birds were supposed to each make the actual bird call of that type of bird. But they were giving away the broken ones, which is fine they were just excited to get a prize. Emily decided hers wanted to learn to fly so she threw it up into the air and when it landed it started chirping. She was very excited that she had gotten hers to work again that she convinced the twins to try it with theirs too. One started working right away and the other one she had to try it with a few times first. But now all 3 of the birds make their respective bird calls and the twins decided to give theirs to Emily also. Emily also won the doorprize that day and it was this pot of flowers.
