Wedding Cake is Done!!

This week has been very long trying to get all the roses done for the cake and cupcakes. With the horrible +35 weather(+43 with the humidex for a few days) it was very hard and very frustrating. I ended up throwing one of the roses across the kitchen I was so upset. I ended up cranking up the air conditioner and adding more gum paste to the fondant so it would harden faster. After that it wasn't so bad. Jake cooked dinner alot of the nights so I could keep working and Emily played quietly or sat beside me and talked. Anways here are pictures of the cake and cupcakes.

I am very glad that the rain slowed down while we were unloading the cake so it didn't get a shower.

We went to the ceremony this afternoon and it was very nice. They wrote their own vows and the grooms were really amazing, I am sure the brides were wonderful too but she was trying to keep the tears under control so I couldn't hear it all.

A closeup of the cupcake so you can see the roses. Love the way the fondant roses look but they take alot of time. You can see the leaves too, Emily wanted to try to make some of them so I let her try. She was doing such a good job and didn't want to stop so she ended up making all of the leaves except the few that I did to show her. What a great help to me.
